Besides, the bathwater is most likely warm. Also, never assume that something's "too big" for a snake. They are incredibly flexible, and there is at least one documented case of a snake eating a hippo (video is on youtube). I'd NEVER let a small child play with a snake that's larger than him. And if it has been fed recently, it will not go after the baby - even if it HASN'T been fed, it'll most likely consider the baby too big for consumption. Totally safe. :) The first one that is.
