Even though this is a statue, the concept is a fail. Who in their right mind envisions children riding on an alligator? This picture reminds me of some earlier parent fails involving alligators that can be seen here.

Its one thing if a grown man wants to go out and try and stab a giant bull with only a red blanket to protect him, but to let your child go out and risk their life is a fail in my book. Some other parents who didn’t think it was a big deal to leave their child’s fate to lethal animals are:

What’s worse than lifting up your children in their strollers to look at the animals? Taking them out of the stroller so that you can hang them over the edge by their feet to feed the animals…
