Whenever I go to the circus I am amazed by the acrobats and tight rope walkers. Never would I imagine any of them bringing a baby along for the show. This is a stomach wrenching, unbelievable fail in my book.

Considering the age of the photo and looking at the costumes and cloth diaper the baby is wearing I deduce this was taken in the late 50′s early 60′s when people thought a lot differently about child safety. Comparing this photo to todays standards would be akin to looking at surgical procedures from the 19th century and comparing them to todays standards.

Not to mention you should never hold up a baby by the arm like that, their arms can break/dislocate. Poor little baby, looks scared. What a bunch of idiots. Who would do/allow/watch that.
