Yes, that is a REAL gun. Way to teach a three-year old about guns. I’m sure you’ll be real proud when she “accidentally” shoots you one day.

Proof that certain people just shouldn't be allowed to procreate
Only in America? How naive can you be?! You don’t even have to watch the news to know that’s a false statement. Not only do other countries allow kids to have weapons, they use them. The big picture, this child is taking a picture with whoever the man is, she’ll think it’s an awesome picture when she is older. Only in American; would people get worked up over a innocent picture. You should put as much effort into helping those kids as you do judging these parents.

seriously, how can anyone tell from this pic, if he is responsible or not? but anyway, guns suck. they’re just excuses for small penises. that’s why they are so popular in america.

I grew up with guns. My Dad let me handle them only when he was around. I knew they were dangerous and not playthings. People need to chill. This is not a fail.

i’d like to know on what ground the one who posted this assumed it is an example of bad parenthood. i see nothing wrong with this, dad is present and in control of the situation, no rules broken and no danger.

I think that it is fine to teach a youngster gun safety, and to allow them to handle firearms and touch them and feel them (With supervision of course), because it takes the curiosity out of them. when my child starts to express an interest in my firearms, i will do the same thing. Also when my child comes of age, she will go to the range with me and learn to shoot. She will also learn what kind of damage a bullet can cause. etc etc etc. Kudos to this Dad for being a responsible firearm owner/parent

She is three years old. Dad could tell her to NEVER touch this gun but she will BECAUSE SHE IS TOO YOUNG. Also, judging from the big grin on daddy’s face, she is being sent mixed messages. Having an innocent child act like she is big and tough with a gun in her hand is not teaching her anything useful.

Um, this is just a .22 caliber made by S&W. A mere target rifle good for picking off squirrels and training CHILDREN in GUN SAFETY.

If more children were tought Gun safety they would be better off. As long as the dad explained to his daughter that it is not a toy and never to be pointed at people there is nothing wrong with allowing her to see it and touch it. This way she wont be curiouse and try to get it when no one is around. If guns are kept locked up, unloaded and away from amunition (also locked up) there is nothing wrong with teaching your children about them.

He’s not letting her point it at anyone, her finger is off the trigger, and it’s probably on safety. Atleast she’ll be prepared for the Zompocalypse… He’ll be laughing when you get eaten.
